Chiri means left-over and here refers to the left-over bits of mulberry bark that have been put into the sheet of paper for decorative effect. The amount of bark flecking in this paper is minimal compared to some, adding subtle interest without a lot of distraction. Suitable for most media. This beautiful paper is made in the village of Kurotani, the oldest continuous papermaking village in Japan where they have been making paper for over 800 years. Heritage Washi (HW)
