Seikosen Mitsumata Yotsuban is a Heritage Washi, boasting the natural warm tone of mitsumata. Handmade by a family in Kochi for three generations, it is made from 100% Japanese mitsumata fibre, naturally bleached in mountain streams with sunlight and cooked with lime. Each sheet is hand-formed and dried on traditional pine boards, giving it a subtle woodgrain texture. Versatile for all media, it is especially favoured for woodcut printing, sumi-e, and shodo (brush calligraphy).
