Made by a skilled papermaker in Oguni Village in the mountains of beautiful Niigata prefecture. The fibre for this paper is snow bleached, yukizarashi: the kozo is laid out on snow for several hours each day over the course a few weeks in order to lighten it. Cooked with wood ash, dried on stainless steel. Beautiful, traditionally-produced paper that will outlast our great-grandchildren. Great for chine colle, drawing, layering. Heritage Washi (HW)
