These slightly-heavier-than-tissue sheets are formed with a thin layer of wood pulp covered with a layer of finely-prepared kozo. Since kozo absorbs dye so readily, the colours are extremely rich on these sheets and yet the surface is smoothly refined.  This paper is popular with card-makers and craftspeople in general.  Obonai Feather papers also make perfect giftwrap!
